IBhakthi

The uninterrupted flow of love towards God which exceeds ones love for ones relatives, possessions .

It is that which can alleviate the sufferings of jeevas enmeshed in samsara.

It ensures that God protects one who is his bhakta.

Bhakthi is love for God with the knowledge of his greatness.

Bhakthi is a part and parcel of mahAtma jnana of the Lord.

Bhakthi destroys ones defects of body and mind.

Bhakthi makes the mind and intellect a fertile ground for conclusive knowledge about the Supreme Being.

Bhakthi destroys the seed of sins , ignorance because it enables one to grasp and retain the knowledge obtained from the scriptures.

Bhakthi is of nine components each of which takes one closer to the Lord. 

1.     Sravanam : Listening to the majesty of Sri MahaVishnu with great reverence.
2.      Keerthanam : Singing the glories of the infinite auspicious attributes of the Lord Sri Hari.
3.      Smaranam : Contemplation of the sovereignty of the Lord Narayana.
4.      Padasevana : Dedicated service of the Supreme Lord with complete involvement of body & mind.
5.      Archanam: Adoration of  Lord Sri Krishna with tulasi, flowers and other auspicious articles.
6.      Vandanam: Bowing to the all powerful Lord Narasimha with deep devotion, again and again.
7.      Dasyam : Revelling in having Lord Anantha Padmanabha as one's sole master.
8.      Sakyam : Stuanch belief in Lord Sri Rama as one's sure and sole refuge.
9.      Atmanivedanam : Total surrender of the self (body,mind and soul) to the indwelling Paramatma.
